Old Astrakhan (2021)

Astrakhan is not only a city of heat, watermelons and black caviar. This is a burning cocktail of East and West, which has preserved traditions and color in everything. The city has preserved unique houses with a history that remembers overseas guests from distant Persia, India, Armenia. These houses are still inhabited by residents who are very bright and very different from each other, that's why they are interesting. The project "Old Astrakhan" is a look at the native city with completely different eyes, walking slowly through the courtyards and streets, examining the details and communicating with the residents. The appearance of the city changes almost daily, some buildings can disappear in the pursuit of modernity at any moment, so this project is an attempt to stop the moment.
